Building Fund Campaign
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is the heart and home of a predominantly Mexican and Mexican-American working class community whose numbers far exceed the parish’s structural capacity. Parishioners overflowing onto the sidewalk and parking lot has been a familiar sight for many years. It has been a concern for many years.
In 2002, motivated to resolve the overcrowding situation, a committee, led by Missionaries of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Enrique Ramírez and Rev. José de Jesús Sánchez, was formed. In 2004, Rev. Lucio Villalobos joined our Parish and our efforts. By February 2005, two more priests will join our Parish and our efforts – Rev. Pablo Sánchez and Rev. Ricardo de Alba.
Over the past two years, with the help of parishioners who have dedicated time, energy and talents, many fundraising events have taken place. In 2003, a new idea was presented and by December 2004 that idea was put in motion – a House Drawing, with many fundraising events taking place throughout the drawing period. Please visit our Fundraising Calendar page to learn about the events we have planned.
Through the House Drawing, it is our hope to raise the funds necessary to start building our new Church. Tickets for the House Drawing ($100.00 per ticket) are now available for sale at our parish. Please go to our House Drawing page to obtain details and view an artistic rendition of the house. Please go to our Rules and Regulations page to learn about our terms – eligibility, how to enter, list of prizes, etc. We welcome your participation and support. The building of a church is no small task; if you are able and would like to know How You Can Help, please call our office. God bless you.
